Kitty (Betty) Aswegan, MA, LMHP, LADC has worked as a psychotherapist since 1990 and is licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner and an Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor. Kitty is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Ms. Aswegan majored in Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984 and a Master of Arts degree in 1990. She is a preferred provider for insurance companies, Medicaid and Magellan and a certified provider of counseling services for clients within the Nebraska court system.
Ms. Aswegan was in charge of the outpatient counseling services at Richard H. Young Hospital in Kearney, NE from 1990 - 1994. She began a Private Practice in 1994, providing Intensive Outpatient Chemical Dependency Treatment programs in English and Spanish, as well as psychotherapy for mental and emotional issues. She offers training, supervision and practical experience for Master's level college interns. Kitty also developed and supervised a free ministry of counseling within the Buffalo County Correctional Facility.
